Our Mission

To work with the poor and excluded in their struggle to eradicate poverty, patriarchy and injustice in which every person enjoys the right to life with dignity.

Work and Achievements

Our work with Children: During 2014-15 alone through our program:

  • 30,000 children have been enrolled in schools
  • 40% of  the children enrolled were girls
  • 7,176 children from marginalised communities who received scholarships 
  • 35% of children who received scholarship were from minority communities
  • 1,500 schools monitored for basic amenities and quality of education
  • 1,329 schools where our efforts have ensured regular mid-day meal
  • 1,706 children suffering from malnutrition linked to Nutritional Rehabilitation Centers and ICDS 
  • 1,467 children rescued from child labour and reconnected to schools


Current project - 'Giving Wings'

To ensure that 1000 children with a background of acute deprivation of having exercised 
their right to education realize their potentials in Bangalore, Belgaum, Gundlupet & Gulbarga with highlights being - Experiential learning -Touch, feel and learn; Personality Development -To nurture healthy mind & body; Self-Confidence and Self-Dignity - Social Awareness

Required support to fund the project to boost the children’s education & skills in the following:

  1. Study kit for 1 child - 650/-(Geometry Box, Grammar book - English/Kannada, OXFORD Atlas Book)
  2. Educational Support for 1 child (1 year) - 6000/-
  3. Personality Development - Life Skills Training (5 children) - 5000/-
  4. Exposure Visit (5 children) - 5000/-
  5. Artistic Skill Development (5 children) - 6000/-
  6. White board for centers (4 ft. x 3 ft.) - 2700/-
  7. Colouring Materials (10 children from 3rd and 4th standard) - 1100/- 
  8. Education Material (10 children from 5th, 6th and 7th standard children: Geometry Box, Note book, pen)- 2500/-
  9. General Donation to fund Children’s Project - 500/- onwards
