Viveka Tribal Centre for Learning (VTCL) an educational initiative of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement at Hosahalli is a free residential school, exclusively meant for the tribal children. It is home for 407 children belonging to the forest based tribal’s. Started in 1988, this school has grown over the years from a small dingy cow shade to a well equipped school with tribal and child friendly environments. Currently the school offer free education for all 407 children for classes 1 to 10. As the ministry of tribal affairs Government of India (MOTA) has withdrawn the grant aid support to CSO’s. It has become real challenge to sustain this tribal educational initiative.
So we would want to participate in the marathon and raise funds to support the education of 407 students to complete their education and become able citizens of who contribute to build a Resurgent India.
