Work and Achievements
“Hope Ek A.S.H.A.” is a charitable society, registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 in the year 2001, dedicated to the care of Senior Citizens suffering from Alzheimer’s/ Dementia (Memory Loss) and their caregivers and has completed 17 years in the service to humanity.
Our major activities are to create Mass Awareness about this disease, Home Care of patients and their caregivers, Running Memory Clinic, Family and Professional Caregiver’s Training and Online Support to the needy.
We are delighted to share with you that by virtue of the work done by us, United Nation’s Economic and Social Council has granted Special Consultative Status to our NGO.Our next mission is to establish an “Alzheimer Home cum Day Care Centre” for senior citizens suffering from Alzheimer Disease in stage I &II. It will be run by our volunteers, doctors, caregivers, nursing staff and other professionals in the para medical and allied fields with facilities of health services and structured activities which will include (Regular Health Check-up, Counselling), (Yoga and Meditation), (Religious and Spiritual programs), Entertainment (television, indoor games, and music), and training of family / professional caregivers.
We will also train caregivers in this centre who want to adopt their career as professional caregivers in the field of “ALZHEIMER CARE” and “ELDER CARE” and will be an employmentfor them.
Budget of this Centre for five years is Rs. 3.72 Crores, 21.00 Lakhs of capital assets committed by a PSU and balance operational expenses @ 5.98 Lakhs per month is requested here. Your help is solicited for fulfilment of this proposed project.
