Our Mission

To develop and implement sustainable Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) solutions in over two thousand (2,000) communities by 2020.

Work and Achievements

Jaldhaara Foundation (JF) is a Section 8 organization set up in 2011. JF’s goal is to deliver Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) solutions globally and envisions to build preference for safe water, sanitation and hygienic practices in underserved communities of the world. Its mission is to develop and implement sustainable WASH solutions in over two thousand (2,000) communities by 2020.

JF plans to deliver an integrated solution within the WASH framework by partnering with players who specialize in various aspects of the WASH program but with primary focus on the sustainability of the proposed interventions.

JF has also commenced a significant service for provisioning safe and purified drinking water to one of the most vulnerable segments of the population – children between the ages of 5 to 15 who are currently studying in government schools across the country. While Sarva Shiksha Abhyan (SSA) and the mid-day meal scheme have brought in a large number of children into schools, the lack of purified water in a vast majority of such schools have deterred this noble intention, due to absenteeism caused by water borne diseases, of improving the national education demographics. “Water For Schools” is a concept that is aimed at improving attendance through provisioning of safe and purified drinking water and is possible at a scale and reliability that has not been witnessed earlier though similar schemes.
