Work and Achievements
One Nation Netball Cup (ONNC) is the only annual mixed-team netball tournament in India organized by The Naz Foundation (India) Trust. ONNC uses the medium of sport to foster gender equality, social inclusion, and leadership to build a critical mass of young sports change makers from the remotest locations of India.
ONNC has hosted 18 teams from 10 states in the 7th edition in 2019. ONNC is a platform for the young players from marginalized communities where they can play competitive netball in a safe environment and excel in the game. The tournament provides infrastructure to play sports, facilitates the process of cultural exchange and offers life skills sessions on time management, team work, diversity, and gender.
The three-day tournament is organized by the young coaches of Naz India’s sport for development program, Young People’s Initiative (YPI). These change agents take lead on various aspects of the event such as arranging travel and food, accommodation, booking sports facilities, prepare match fixtures, umpiring, life skill sessions, etc. (You can see the highlights of ONNC 2017 Click Here)
