Educating and spreading awareness amongst underprivileged by opening libraries in backward regions of India.
Work and Achievements
Project Paper Bridge: Through this project, we plan to open 1000 Libraries in different parts of India, especially focusing upon backwards regions in India. We have already opened Libraries in 10 different States/ UTs, including J&K, Ladakh, Jharkhand, Assam, Nagaland, etc. These Libraries will not just be for reading purposes, but also act as a space for dissipation of legal knowledge, spreading awareness of Government Welfare Schemes, and even have cultural exchange programmes and proliferation of local tradecrafts of each State. We have already established 170 such Libraries!
Project Vidya Vistar: We have opened up 6 Learning/Educational Centres, in Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Lucknow, Patna, and Nagaland. These Centres are opened in/near the villages or slums, and we teach underprivileged children there, Free Education is given to these children. We are currently teaching more than 450 students, and through our efforts, got admitted about 100 students in schools, who had left the schooling system due to hardships.
Nepal Earthquake Relief Program: In 2015, when Nepal was hit by an Earthquake, we coordinated with Nepalese Embassy and got a hold of a list of essential items required by them.
Assam and Bihar Flood Relief Programs: We have been working since 2015 with Local Administration and Local NGOs in Assam and Bihar, and provided relief material worth more than Rs. 3 Lakh for the flood affected victims.
Clothes Donation Campaign: Since 2014, we have run many clothes donation campaign in NCR Region, and collected and distributed more than 10,000 old/new clothes across 35 slums and villages.
Operation Kill the Chill: In every winter, we raise funds to distribute blankets to people who cannot afford warm clothing.
