Every blind person is a potential human resource for India and must be invested in. Don’t just provide for them, but help us in empowering blind people and creating an accessible and conducive ecosystem for them to live in as dignified citizens.
I have been visually impaired since early childhood but it hasn’t prevented me from living a wholesome life. I got a good education, worked in advertising and I’m now leading cutting edge innovative work in the domain of living life with blindness.
I don’t see why other blind people can’t also lead fulfilling lives. Through Project Eyeway we strive to reach various stakeholders to educate them about the potential of blind people and the possibilities of living a life with blindness. Further we counsel and connect them with organizations, people and resources to help them move forward. An Eyeway encounter is usually a life changing experience. People have moved from sitting at home to joining school. People who’d quit their jobs in despair managed to reorient, retrain and return to work. From thinking of committing suicide, people have moved on to dreaming of a life full of joy and happiness.
Please support me in raising INR10 lakhs as I participate in the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon. Your donations can help amplify our work and impact. Donors will get an income tax rebate under Section 80G of the IT Act.
We believe blind people are potentially a part of the human resource of the country. They must be invested in. and not merely provided for.
