Work and Achievements
Khushboo Welfare Society (Khushboo) was established in November 1995 as a non-profit organisation under the Societies Act, 1860 to provide holistic care and multifarious services to people with multiple disabilities.
We work with children, adolescents and grownups with special condition such as: Cerebral Palsy, Down’s syndrome, Autism, Intellectually Challenged and Multiple Disabilities. We are helping them through, flexible education, therapeutic and other special learning interventions to attain self-sufficiency. Our work also provides relief to the families of these children during some portion of the day.
We run a day care Centre at Gurgaon, providing a range of services. The focus is on holistic development and education of the person through training in;
(i) Activities of Daily Living
(ii) Education through normal methods and Assistive Technology
(iii) Speech & Language development
(iv) Physical and Occupational Therapy
(v) Expressive & Performing arts
(vi) Recreational, sports and Yoga
It is thus a multi-sector, multi-dimensional approach for people with disabilities, with joint participation of the family members and Khushboo.
Khushboo’s goal is to empower them through care, education, training, counselling and rehabilitative interventions.
