Work and Achievements
DMKK has focused strongly on issues of women empowerment & livelihood as one of the important areas of intervention for improving social development. The innovative work around livelihoods provide the nucleus around more effective and efficient interventions for the empowerment of excluded communities.
DMKK has a series of programmes for social, psychological and economic empowerment of women like Skill Training on Goat Farming for SHG members, E-Shakti is the digitization programme of SHGs. DMKK engaged 38 animators to digitization of 1136 SHGs.
DMKK has been running a rural library at its own premise located at Krishnapur having all regular reading materials – newspapers, educational magazines, story books and text books catering to at least 25 young readers every day.
DMKK in collaboration with different philanthropic agencies has conducted several health-related programmes totally free of cost including Health Check-up Camp, Eye Camp, Cataract operation camp, Cleft lip & Palate surgery, Tuberculosis Eradication Programme and facilitating a Rogisahayata Kendra.
