I want to help people have access to a basic need for survival - shelter

What is the difference between wants and needs? In basic terms wants are goods or services that are not necessary for survival but stems from our desires. Needs, on the other hand are goods or services that are essential for survival. It is therefore the right of every human to have access to these needs. Shelter is one of the primary needs of each and every human being and its heart wrenching to acknowledge the vast number of people, approximately 1.6 billion who don't even have a stable shelter let alone a safe and secure home.

Habitat for humanity is a global non-profit housing organisation who started operations in India from 1983 and has helped 319,375 Indians attain a decent shelter as well as rebuilding their homes after disasters strike it down. More than 73 million families in India are yet to have access to a decent shelter. Habitat for Humanity India works with low-income families to rehabilitate houses as well as building new homes and housing. Habitat India aims to reach out to 60 million people by 2022 with improved housing solutions, safe sanitation and post-disaster reconstruction.

Now you have a chance to make Habitat for Humanity’s vision, of providing housing for all Indians, a reality by simply clicking the donate button. All the proceedings acquired will go towards ensuring each and every human have an access to a safe and stable house. Although 50,000 may seem like a small amount, it will go towards making a big change for numerous helpless people in India.
