I am the CIO of LabourNet and my role is to provide the right information to the right people, at the right time within the organization. 15 years back, I ran a full marathon, yes all 42 Kms of it, to raise funds for educating under-privileged children and realized how much more needs to be done.
I am now running the TCS World 10K to raise funds for Sambhav Foundation, which runs a school in Bangalore for the specially-abled children, adolescents and youth with cognitive and developmental disabilities. The purpose of this fundraising is to support Project Saadhya, that caters to individuals aged 5 – 25 years who are inflicted by medical conditions like Down’s syndrome, Dyslexia, Psychomotor disorder, Microcephaly, Epilepsy, Speech and language disorder, ADHD, Autism, to name a few.
While earlier I raised funds for educating children from under privileged backgrounds, this time, I am raising funds for children who truly need all the help that society can provide to them. Hence, this is an appeal to all readers to please open your hearts to these children and contribute whatever you think is feasible, in multiples of Rs. 1,000/-. We are seeking to bridge a gap funding of Rs. 30 Lakhs this year and your contribution will be well appreciated by the kids who will benefit from your generosity.
