    A Lovely Day-TCS W10K Banglore 2014

I am extremely overjoyed to share this with all of you my family, my friends and the people reading this blog.

Last Sunday, I was with Treesforfree.org, but was sitting in the VIP Marquee as one of the fund raisers and watching all the runners, Puneet Rajkumar and John Abraham giving away the prizes during World 10K run from Kanteerava Stadium on 18th May 2014. Some of you might have watched the program live on few TV channels that day. It was awesome to watch such a huge crowd of people who were there to run for a cause, to prove their good health and excellent physical strength.

Before that I did walk down to the stadium from Victoria Statue as vehicles were not allowed from Ulsoor Lake side because of running track from M G Road, Cubbon Road and Ulsoor Road. A tall, beautiful, cheerful young lady police officer who was passing by was kind enough to give me a lift on her motorbike from Cubbon Road till Victoria Statue, and from there I walked down to the stadium. Of course it was hard for her to believe that her pelion rider was a 70 year old woman! Then I had to go more than a round in the huge stadium to find my entry, Gate 1 finally and it was great feeling thereafter.

As a volunteer for Treesforfree.org, I was helping in preparing the MASCOT and the TREE CAPS for the runners of Treesforfree.org, as you will see me in the 11th picture standing along with the group in Janet's residence. With my sister Janet, my niece Ramya, her young nephews Brenden and Brett.

We also had some more volunteers, Prem Kumar, Madhavi, Vasuki, Apoorva, Lenin was our live Mascot and Janet's staff Saroja and Bhuvankumar to support in bringing out the best. Many more volunteers and corporate sponsors joined us in running for Treesforfree.org. Feel so good in my heart for being able to contribute something little, as a part of human challenge towards our efforts for Global Warming concerns.

Our MASCOT, if we carefully look, is a symbol of the state we have reduced our ‘Mother Earth’ today! None of us can imagine what we have done to our planet Earth and where we are heading from here?

This international event is a wonderful opportunity for NGOs and upcoming Corporate for their publicity growth. And I do hope more and more of them would be participating in future to prove that we in India can do a lot better in the right perspective with our great population as our country's strength. Together we can achieve many things and nothing is impossible when we are united!
